freeWire™ moisture cycle Print E-mail
Welcome to the freeWire™ Moisture Cycle Demo. In this demonstration, you can see how the freeWire™ system schedules irrigation decisions based on detected available soil moisture. Due to the closed-loop nature of the freeWire™ system, irrigation only occurs when soil moisture conditions warrant. Users of the system are able to program a low and high soil moisture level that reflects the types of plants and soil present in each hydrozone.

The light blue line graphs the available soil moisture over time. As you follow this line to the right, you can follow the sawtooth moisture cycle for the hydrozone.
  • Maximum soil moisture level of 85%
  • Minimum soil moisture level of 25%
  • Watering is allowed between the hours of 1am and 7am
  • The system is allowed to water on any day of the week
