A NEMA Type 4 enclosure will protect your irrigation equipment from dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water and hose-directed water. Furthermore, the patented freeWire ™ Moisture Sensor was designed to resist corrosion and physical abuse.

Mounting:
Base Station: Wall mount on exteriors or in enclosure cabinets. The base station should not be placed in metal sheds or structures as metal can obstruct the wireless signal.
Valve Radio: Mount next to or inside standard irrigation valve box.
Moisture Probe: Place in ground, at grade, within hydrozone.
Repeater: Wall or pole mount.
BoS: Not applicable.

Valve/Station Configurations: 4, 8, 16, 32, 48 and 64

Valve Compatibility: Interfaces with standard 9 volt DC latching solenoids.

Wireless Range: The Base Station, Valve Radio, Moisture Probe and BoS communicate with each other using radio frequencies. All devices must be within range of a Base Station or a Repeater in order to operate. The maximum operating ranges are as follows:

Valve Radio to Base Station or Repeater:
980 feet (300 m), unobstructed line of sight.

Moisture Probe to Base Station or Repeater:
980 feet (300 m), unobstructed line of sight.

BoS to Base Station or Repeater:
980 feet (300 m), unobstructed line of sight.

Base Station to Repeater:
2.5 miles (4 km), unobstructed line of sight.

Internet Connection: The Base Station can be connected to any internet router with an ethernet cable. An internet connection is required to enable optional features such as weather data, email alerts and text-message alerts. An "always-on" internet connection such as DSL, Cable, WiFi (802.11), Sprint 3G Wireless or other similar connection is required. Analog dial-up modems are not supported. Users who have dial-up modems should consider DSL.

Warranty: One (1) year parts for all system components.

Base Station User Interface
The user interface is accessed from a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. There is not software to install. The interface is simple to read and uses tabbed menu to navigate between sections. Access the Base Station from any computer using a web browser. Certain internet connections will enable the base station to be accessed over the internet.
